Virtual auditions, conducted in late January, included scales, a prepared piece, and sight-reading–as well as the technical oddities associated with creating and submitting audition recordings. We are delighted to announce that 30 of our students were selected for the 2020-21 All-District Bands for District XI, including four who are principal players in their sections. A total of 15 musicians are now eligible to audition for All-State Band and Orchestra. District Band and Senior Regional Orchestra did not meet in person this year; competition remains fierce, and it is an impressive achievement to have qualified in such a talented field.
