Students will be able to take the digital&nbsp;exams&nbsp;using their FCPS issued laptops or personal desktop\/laptop computers. Smartphones\/Ipads\/personal chromebooks may not be used for 2021 digital&nbsp;AP&nbsp;Testing. We understand that during this challenging school year, students may want to cancel their&nbsp;AP&nbsp;exams. Students can cancel an&nbsp;AP&nbsp;exam this school year without penalty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Canceling&nbsp;AP&nbsp;exams&nbsp;when enrolled in the course:&nbsp;<\/strong>If a student is&nbsp;currently enrolled&nbsp;in the course and paid for an exam, complete&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/track.spe.schoolmessenger.com\/f\/a\/4hjQGawpOFogJEP9Ii_SzQ~~\/AAAAAQA~\/RgRiP3VkP0RjaHR0cHM6Ly9kb2NzLmdvb2dsZS5jb20vZm9ybXMvZC9lLzFGQUlwUUxTY2EtN21vYWtSbHFUSndUU1FDV25xVXkxcUllUnBNbnRaTXZ6bzlSUWhMQWFjUHd3L3ZpZXdmb3JtVwdzY2hvb2xtQgpgWORBXmChMmkXUhRtZ2lsbGVzODY2QGdtYWlsLmNvbVgEAAAAAQ~~\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">this form<\/a>&nbsp;to request a refund by May 3rd. Because this form goes to the county, you will also need to contact&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:LKBroadhead@fcps.edu?subject=AP%20Exam%20Cancellation\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Lisa Broadhead<\/a>, our Assessment Coach so that the exam can be cancelled.&nbsp; If you do not need a refund, just contact our Assessment Coach.&nbsp;<strong><em>Once an exam is cancelled, it cannot be added back in<\/em>.<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Canceling&nbsp;AP&nbsp;exams&nbsp;when not enrolled in the course:&nbsp;<\/strong>Students who have opted to take an&nbsp;AP&nbsp;exam&nbsp;without being enrolled&nbsp;in the course will need to complete&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/track.spe.schoolmessenger.com\/f\/a\/WFBbDqM-tYXSQgzQethzbg~~\/AAAAAQA~\/RgRiP3VkP0QjaHR0cHM6Ly9mb3Jtcy5nbGUvV2o4THpHbUU2cGI4UXkyTjdXB3NjaG9vbG1CCmBY5EFeYKEyaRdSFG1naWxsZXM4NjZAZ21haWwuY29tWAQAAAAB\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">this form<\/a>&nbsp;to cancel by May 3rd. This form is school based, so there is no need to contact our Assessment Coach separately.&nbsp;<strong><em>Once an exam is cancelled, it cannot be added back in<\/em>.<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There are three different administration periods for&nbsp;AP&nbsp;exams&nbsp;in 2021. Most testing will take place in Administration period 2 with some flexibility given to schools to help with social distancing. TJ has opted to use Administration period 1 for all foreign language&nbsp;exams&nbsp;and the Music Theory exam.&nbsp;<strong>These are all in person&nbsp;exams.<\/strong>&nbsp; Make-ups for all foreign language&nbsp;exams&nbsp;and Music Theory will only be done during Administration period 2.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Most&nbsp;exams&nbsp;offered during Administration period 2 are digital and will be completed&nbsp;<strong>at home&nbsp;<\/strong>(see list of&nbsp;exams&nbsp;below). Students who are not able to take a digital exam at home due to detrimental at-home testing environments may request to take their digital exam at school using&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/track.spe.schoolmessenger.com\/f\/a\/kbAHZ8C_Ma_Yw5KkwfJ-Zw~~\/AAAAAQA~\/RgRiP3VkP0QjaHR0cHM6Ly9mb3Jtcy5nbGUvWWZNanc4Q3lxblpXY1kzeDlXB3NjaG9vbG1CCmBY5EFeYKEyaRdSFG1naWxsZXM4NjZAZ21haWwuY29tWAQAAAAB\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">this form<\/a>&nbsp;by April 9<sup>th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Eight&nbsp;AP&nbsp;exams&nbsp;offered during Administration period 2 are&nbsp;<strong>paper\/pencil&nbsp;exams&nbsp;and must be completed in school<\/strong>&nbsp;(see list of&nbsp;exams&nbsp;below).&nbsp; If you are remaining virtual this year, have test conflicts, or other extenuating circumstances,&nbsp;<strong>you can request to take these&nbsp;exams&nbsp;digitally at home during Administration period 3 using<\/strong>&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/track.spe.schoolmessenger.com\/f\/a\/TMI1BUgzMqBWCFO0ezm4Nw~~\/AAAAAQA~\/RgRiP3VkP0QjaHR0cHM6Ly9mb3Jtcy5nbGUvZkRWUnRETEgyQXY0V0c0cjZXB3NjaG9vbG1CCmBY5EFeYKEyaRdSFG1naWxsZXM4NjZAZ21haWwuY29tWAQAAAAB\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">this form<\/a>.&nbsp;
