You are invited to attend the Class 2025 Commencement Ceremony at Eagle Bank Arena (George Mason University) this Wednesday, June 11th, at 9:30 am.
Prior to the ceremony, at 9 am, an ensemble of non-graduating students from advanced orchestra and wind ensemble will start playing light background music for entertainment.
Then, to mark the start, they will perform the traditional graduation processional, Pomp and Circumstance, by Edward Elgar, when the graduates, faculty, and representatives of the different school divisions, march in.
During the commencement, while the graduates names are called, the band and orchestra graduating members will be acknowledged with a brief musical, “Tada!”, as a fun and emotional tribute from their underclassmen and fellow musician friends.
Following the ceremony, the ensemble will play “Sine Nomine”, by Ralph Vaughan Williams and Earl Rosenberg, as a recessional while the graduates depart, which closes the event.
Congratulations to all the students of Class 2025 for this big achievement, and for the new wonderful opportunities that await them in college and beyond!
