2020-11-20 Send Thanksgiving cards to teachers, staff, students, friends and family
SGA, Minds Matter and the PTSA Health & Wellness Committee would like to encourage you to show your appreciation for teachers, staff, your student, your friends or family this Thanksgiving by sending free electronic or printable Thanksgiving cards: https://www.greetingsisland.com/cards/holidays/thanksgiving
Once you’ve finished your message, click “next” and “send online.” For sending cards to FCPS email addresses, DO NOT click “send via email.” These messages cannot reach fcps.edu web addresses! Instead, click “copy link” and send them an email containing the link.
You can also print the cards and stick them in the mail (for non-staff). You can look up many of your TJ friends’ mailing addresses on AtoZConnect. Login (using the same login as your PTSA account), and click the drop down menu in the upper left corner, then choose “directory.”
2020-11-19 Congratulations Reflections Participants
Reflections is a national PTA arts recognition program that encourages students to
express their artistic talents. Based on the 2020-2021 theme “I Matter Because…” 13 TJ
students submitted their artwork for four categories. Their work has been evaluated by
community artists and professionals on their interpretation of theme, creativity and
technique.
For each art form, the work chosen as Outstanding Interpretation will advance to the
Fairfax County Council PTA level, competing with entries from other Fairfax County high
school students. Award of Excellence, Award of Merit and Honorable Mention are
given to second, third and fourth place.

With fun activities such as dressing up in costumes and playing in game night, students competed to win free 2022 merch! Below is a picture of Michael Fatemi, who went on a hike (one of the activities), and a picture of a team dressing up as ghosts.
