Dear TJ Community,
During the 2023-2024 term, the PTSA board voted to return ownership of cultural celebrations to student clubs to foster a culture of engagement among our students and allow students to plan cultural celebrations to reflect a student-centered vision of inclusion. These changes were effective June 15, 2024. PTSA will continue to support cultural celebrations through Student Club Support grants and the application forms and process have been shared to the clubs via school.
We’re excited to announce that the Hispanic Community Club applied and was awarded the first grant of $500. Congratulations!! Like the SGA, students are planning the Hispanic Heritage Month celebrations with guidance from their sponsor and the Office of Student Activities. They will share a sign-up genius with us if/when they need help. As always, we’re very impressed with our students and happy to support their vision!
