Dear TJ families, teachers and staff,
I hope you had a restful summer and are excited for the school year. On behalf of the Executive board, I would like to welcome you to attend one of our several events this year at TJ!
The TJHSST PTSA facilitates numerous activities that support our students, families, teachers and staff. Each year, programs are chosen and led by members, PTSA leaders, and volunteers. Last year, our spending was around $95,000 – $50,000 for ANGP and around $45,000 for PTSA. We organized and planned the following events:
- Student activities events: Such as Regional welcome parties for freshman families, Back to school bash, J Day games and inflatables, support for cultural celebrations, Mock SAT and PSAT and various Health and Wellness events in partnership with Student Services and an All Night Grad Party
- Hospitality Committee activities: Such as Welcome back teacher’s luncheon, Thanksgiving teacher’s luncheon, Holiday gift cards, Valentine’s day treats and Teacher Appreciation week and luncheon
- Parent Support Committee activities: Such as Coffee/Desserts with the Principal, College panel with student services and alumni parents, Navigating TJ Panel with teachers and student services and Alumni Panel discussions
