Dear TJ Community,
Reflecting on Our Four-Year Journey
When I look back on these past four years, one thing stands out above all: the spirit of collaboration that carried us through every challenge. After regaining compliance and emerging from probation in 2021, we went on to achieve record membership three years running. Every community event—big or small—has been powered by your creativity, perseverance, and teamwork. Keeping our focus squarely on students and doing everything to support them has remained our guiding compass. We also supported a smooth transition to our new principal, ensuring continuity of leadership and a warm welcome to our school community.
None of these accomplishments would have been possible without the support of the school and the dedication of dozens of volunteers. I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to:
- School Staff and Teachers
To our principal, administrative team, student services, teachers, activities office, front-office, cafeteria, and custodial staff teams—your partnership has been invaluable. From supporting our events to sharing insights in panels, you’ve enabled us to serve every family more effectively. - Executive Committee Members
Your strategic leadership—whether in communications, fundraising, event planning, budget reviews, compliance, or governance oversight—kept us accountable and set the course for our growth. Every decision you’ve made has strengthened our foundation. - Committee Chairs and Vice Chairs
From planning regional welcome parties to organizing parent support book clubs, student health and wellness activities, panels on academic support, college planning, therapy dog visits, and cultural celebrations, you have driven our programs forward with professionalism and passion. Whether you hosted hospitality events for staff, organized proctors or supplied snacks for student support during AP Week, volunteered to help with reserved seating, or coordinated our graduate party, your initiative has created memorable experiences for everyone. - Members, Donors, and Financial Supporters
Thank you for your generosity and financial contributions. Your support has been critical in funding our programs, events, and resources. We could not achieve so much without your commitment to our PTSA’s mission. - Event Volunteers
From set-up to clean-up, your enthusiasm at every single event created the welcoming atmosphere that defines our community. Thank you for being there, rain or shine. - Behind-the-Scenes Contributors
Our unsung heroes—those who record minutes, manage books and compliance, update member lists, pay dues, reimburse volunteers, keep our website updated, and guide new and current families—often do so without expecting recognition or anything in return. Your diligence has been indispensable to keeping our PTSA running smoothly. - Booster Organizations and the Partnership fund
You have been incredible partners and a consistent source of support, sharing valuable information and advocating for our students and community at every turn. Your collaboration has amplified our efforts, strengthened our connections and provided several learning opportunities for our students.
Looking Ahead
I am grateful for the opportunity to lead such a dedicated and passionate team of volunteers and for the chance to make a difference. As I pass the baton to the next leaders, I’m confident that our legacy of engagement and support will continue to flourish. The incoming board is already envisioning new ways to deepen connections between families, staff, and students. TJPTSA.com will be updated on July 1st and we welcome all TJ families to join the new school year’s membership. I’m excited to leave the PTSA in such capable hands and can’t wait to see what this community accomplishes next.
Thank you for every hour you’ve volunteered, every idea you’ve shared, and every effort you’ve made to enrich our PTSA. Here’s to the next chapter of collaboration and achievement!
With Gratitude,
Nell Janardhan
TJPTSA President (2023-2024, 2024-2025)
